Concrete example

Two journeys take 35 min and 50 min. The second takes 15 min longer, which the bars make visible immediately.

Compare two durations

Compare two durations in the same unit and see the exact time gap.

Useful for travel times, experiments, cooking and performance comparisons.

Example

With A = 10 and B = 15, the absolute gap is 5 units. The bars make the difference visible before the detailed result.

How to read the result

The gap is the absolute difference between A and B. The ratio answers “how many times?”, while the percentage difference compares the gap with the average magnitude of the two values.

A percentage difference is useful for relative comparison, but it does not replace the absolute gap. Always keep the unit and the real-world scale in view.

Percentage difference is symmetric: swapping A and B does not change the result. Percentage change is directional and does change when the reference value changes.
