Compare two independent values without treating either one as the starting point.

Use this when A and B are two measurements or two objects. The denominator is the average of their absolute values, so swapping A and B gives the same result.

Percentage difference is symmetric: swapping A and B does not change the result. Percentage change is directional and does change when the reference value changes.
