Search Mendeleev compounds by name or formula and extend the lookup to PubChem when needed.

The first results come from Mendeleev’s local compound pages. An expanded lookup is sent only when you search.
Start with a familiar name such as water or sodium chloride, or type a molecular formula. Mendeleev first checks the compound pages already available on the site, so common results open directly into the existing Chemistry section.
When the local collection is not enough, the tool makes a small on-demand request to PubChem’s programmatic interface. The search is intentionally limited to short interactive lookups; it does not crawl PubChem pages or perform bulk harvesting.
