Two worked examples

Example 1

A 12 V supply across a 6 Ω resistor gives I = 12/6 = 2 A.

Example 2

If 20 mA flows through 1.5 kΩ, the voltage is 30 V.

Good to knowIn English-language texts, potential difference is commonly written V: V = IR.
