Two worked examples

Example 1

A 1.00 m pendulum at g = 9.81 m/s² has a period of about 2.01 s.

Example 2

A 25 cm pendulum has a period close to 1.00 s near Earth’s surface.

Good to knowThe usual formula is the small-angle approximation; it becomes less accurate for large oscillation angles.
