Ammonium nitrate

Ammonium nitrate is NH₄NO₃, an ionic solid composed of NH₄⁺ and NO₃⁻. Both ions are polyatomic: ammonium has covalent N–H bonds, while nitrate has a resonance-delocalized N–O framework.
